During this trial time, the autonomous vehicle (AV) will be supported by a system that can meet the needs of passengers and optimise your journey.

ST Engineering, an operator on-demand service will assure your safety while on board. Though there will be no driver like how a normal public bus will be, there will still be a trained safety driver in case of emergency or manual driving is necessary. A system by the name of vehicle fault system will be on alert to inform the safety driver if there is a problem, thus manual mode will be on and control will be given to the driver. AV also has a few electronic symbols to give a signal to other road user and pedestrian that this vehicle is automatically operated.

All test drive will have 4 autonomous vehicle: 2 mini bus and 2 smaller shuttle bus. This vehicle is complemented with LiDAR (light detection and ranging), GPS, odometry (collected data to detect motion to calculate the changes of position), and computer vision to help the vehicle acknowledge its surrounding and navigate.

This autonomous shuttle is free and will be operating for 4 hours on the weekdays from 10 A.M. to 12 P.M. and 2 P.M. to 4 P.M.
