A New MRT Route Is Being Built in SG

In a near future, your journey around Singapore will be even easier than today using MRT. This new MRT line is still under construction. 

Reported by Channel News Asia, Cross Island Line or CRL, will be the longest MRT line in Singapore. It will be officially opened in the year of 2029.

MRT in Singapore

Progress has been achieved and the construction is now at Bright Hill MRT station. In the first stage, 12 stations will be opened in advance and they are Bright Hill, Teck Ghee, Ang Mo Kio, Tavistock, Serangoon North, Hougang, Defu, Tampines North, Pasir Ris, Pasir Ris East, Loyang and Aviation Park. Bright Hill, Ang Mo Kio, Hougang and Pasir Ris will be the 4 interchange stations.

CRL will connect the north east, west, and east of Singapore so that the time taken to journey from one point to the other will be shorten. More than 100,000 households will benefit from this new MRT route.
